Benefits of eyelash extensions:
What is the different between a classic look and a volume look?
A classic look is the most natural look for eyelash extensions. It's a technique that the artist uses to apply one extension on one isolated natural lash with medical grade adhesive made for eyelash extensions. The extension is applied approximately 1 - 2 mm away from the lash line. A volume look is an advance technique where the artist handmade a fan like from 1 - 6+ (depends on how much volume you want) extensions and applies to one isolated natural lash to create fuller and more volume look. Note that the thickness of the lashes use for volume are ultra thin compared to the lashes use for classic. Therefore, it should feels natural and light-weight on your natural lashes.
I have very sensitive eyes, will the lashes cause irritation?
Sensitivities come in many forms. Some people are sensitive to products like mascara or liner and others have dry eyes or sensitivity to light and the list goes on. If the question is whether the lashes itself will cause irritation, that depends on the application. Lashes done well should be placed 1-2 mm away from your actual lash-line where your skin meets the lashes. This way, the extension never touches the lash, and the tiny amount of adhesive will never touch your skin . Lashes or adhesive that touches the skin can cause itching, poking and general discomfort. Again, it's all about expert and precision in the artists application. We highly recommended that you do a test first before the full-set. The artist will apply 5-10 extensions to each eye to test the sensitivity of your eyes. We also use medical grade adhesive for sensitive eyes. Please inform your artist that you have sensitive eyes before you come in for your appointment.
I am getting married, when should I come in for my appointment?
Again everyone is different, to be on the safe side, we recommended that you come in 2-3 weeks before your wedding day. That will gives enough time to see if you any allergic reaction to the lashes. Also we will have enough time to make adjustment to the lash design that you want.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
How do I care for my lashes so they last?
How long do eyelash extensions last? How often should I get them touched up?
Each extension should last for the remaining lifespan of the natural eyelash. As your natural lashes grow and shed, the extensions will grow and shed with them. Most clients experience enough shedding within 3 weeks to be in need of a touchup. Some clients need, or want, to come every 2 weeks. These clients either have a somewhat faster growth cycle, are a little rougher on their lashes, or just prefer to have their lashes at maximum fullness as much as possible. How full your lashes will look at the end of your touch-up appointment will be greatly affected by how many lashes you have when you arrive for your appointment- ideally you should have 50% of your extensions still on at touch-up time. Please keep this in mind when determining how long to wait to schedule your touch-ups. Also arriving on time for your appointments will ensure you will receive the maximum amount of eyelashes. We require at least 25% of your extensions to be remaining at the time of your service to qualify for a touch-up service. Waiting more than 4 weeks between appointments will require another full set appointment. Some people ask, “Will they all fall out at the same time?” No, your extensions will fall out one at a time over several weeks in a subtle shedding process.
Humans shed approximately 2-5 natural eyelashes per upper lid, per eye, per day (lets average this at 3 per day), and your therapist will apply approximately 100 extensions to the suitable natural lashes of each eye, therefore you will see the following general loss patterns:
Therefore after 3 weeks you may have lost over half your set.
